Privacy Policy
Vestora ("the app") is provided by Krishna Avadhani, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the app and this website handle. We aim to collect as little as possible.
1. Information kept on your device only
Your watchlist, portfolios and holdings, alerts, journal notes, learning progress, settings and colour choices are stored only on your device (in the iPhone app, or in your web browser's storage for the web app). We do not have accounts, and this information is not sent to us. Deleting the app or clearing your browser's site data deletes it. You can also use Account > Delete all my data.
2. Information sent to market data and news services
To show prices, company figures, charts and news, the app requests data from third-party services including Yahoo Finance, Google News, the US Securities and Exchange Commission (EDGAR) and the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis (FRED). In the web app these requests pass through our data relay hosted by Cloudflare, which forwards them and briefly caches the answers; it does not store who asked. Requests include the stock codes or search words you look up. Their own privacy policies apply.
3. Purchases
In the iPhone app, subscriptions are sold by Apple. Apple handles payment; we never see your card details. We use RevenueCat, Inc. to confirm whether you have an active subscription; it receives an anonymous app user ID and your purchase history for this app (see revenuecat.com/privacy).
4. Website analytics
This website may use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page visits without cookies and without identifying you.
5. Notifications and app lock
Daily Brief and alert notifications are created on your device. If you turn on the app lock, your phone checks your face or passcode and the app only receives a yes or no answer.
6. Files you import or export
Files you import are read on your device. Files you export or share go only where you send them.
7. What we do not do
We do not sell personal information, track you across other apps or websites, or use analytics that identify you.
8. Children
Vestora is not directed at children under 16.
9. Changes
If we add features that send information to our own servers (for example accounts or emailed reports), we will update this policy and ask for your consent first.
